Here's the thing almost nobody knows: **lawn and yard maintenance is usually covered by your NDIS core supports funding.**
Most people assume it isn't. They assume the NDIS pays for personal care and appointments, and that the garden is their own problem. So they either let it go, or they pay for it themselves out of money they didn't really have spare.
If maintaining your yard is difficult because of your disability, it can generally be funded the same way any other daily living support is. It sits under the same flexible core supports budget as help around the house. If you're not sure whether yours covers it, ask us — we'll look at your plan with you before you commit to anything, and we'll tell you honestly if the answer is no.
