My personal experiences have given me a deep desire to help others navigate their own challenges
About me
My background has shaped my commitment to helping others, and I bring a unique perspective to my work. I’m passionate about outdoor activities, especially enjoying the beach and soaking up the summer sun. As a food enthusiast, I particularly love seafood, Italian cuisine, and desserts. Cooking is one of my favorite pastimes, and I’m always eager to explore new recipes, though I tend to shy away from spicy foods. Music also plays a significant role in my life, and I enjoy listening to new country music.
Experience and Skills
I have a diverse professional background; I was previously a jockey and faced significant challenges after a racing accident in 2017 that resulted in a traumatic brain injury and multiple fractures. This experience, along with my time in the brain injury unit at Liverpool Hospital, has deepened my empathy and resilience.
Additionally, growing up with a cousin who has autism has enhanced my understanding of the importance of support and encouragement. I am outgoing, confident, and flexible with my working hours, always striving to provide the best care possible.
Why I am a Support Worker
I chose to transition from racing to support work after the birth of my son, Max, who is now two years old and has become the center of my world. My personal experiences have instilled in me a strong desire to help others navigate their own challenges and achieve their goals.
