Support That Fits YOUR Life

Every person is different. Every life is different. And every day looks different. At Wollondilly Total Care, our Core Supports service is built around that reality — flexible, personalised, and delivered by people who genuinely care about making your day better.

Whether you need a little help with the morning routine, support to get out into your community, or someone reliable by your side for the bigger moments, our team of dedicated support workers is here for you. Not because it is a job — because it is who we are.

What are Core Supports?

Core Supports is one of the three main NDIS support budget categories, alongside Capacity Building and Capital Supports. It is the most flexible of the three — in many cases, funding can be moved between Core support types to best meet your needs at any given time.

Core Supports covers the everyday supports that help you live your life — the practical, hands-on assistance that makes independence possible and community participation real

There are four types of Core Supports:
Assistance with Daily Life
Support with day to day tasks in your home and in your personal care routine — the things that need to happen every day for you to live comfortably and safely.
Assistance with Social, Economic and Community Participation
Support to get out into your community, participate in activities you enjoy, build social connections, and live an active and engaged life.
Consumables
Everyday items you need because of your disability — things like continence aids, low cost assistive technology, and other consumable products.
Assistance with Transport
Support to get where you need to go — medical appointments, community activities, social outings, or simply getting out of the house.

Our Support Workers

The quality of your support comes down to the quality of your support worker. At WTC, we take that seriously.
Every WTC support worker goes through a thorough recruitment and screening process that includes:

  • National Police Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Reference checks
  • Induction and onboarding training
  • Ongoing professional development
But screening and qualifications only tell part of the story. We hire for character as much as for credentials. Our support workers are warm, reliable, patient, and genuinely invested in the people they support. They are the face of the WTC family — and we are proud of every single one of them.
Our support workers come from diverse backgrounds and bring a wide range of life experience, skills, and personalities to their work. That diversity is one of our greatest strengths — because our participants are diverse too, and finding the right match matters.

From Solange's 28 years of experience working with vulnerable people, to Monique's decade in the support industry, to Melanie's lived experience of resilience and recovery — every member of our team has a story, and every story shapes the care they give.
You can meet our full team on the Our Team page.

How We Match You With the Right Support Worker

We believe that the relationship between a participant and their support worker is one of the most important factors in the success of any support arrangement. A good match makes everything easier — and a bad match can make everything harder.
When you come on board with WTC, we take the time to understand:

  • Your personality and communication style
  • Your interests, hobbies, and daily routine
  • Your specific support needs and goals
  • Any preferences you have about your support worker — gender, language, cultural background, experience with specific conditions
  • Any sensitivities or things that are important to you in how support is delivered

We then match you with a support worker who fits. And if it does not feel right, we listen and we adjust. You should feel comfortable and confident with the person supporting you — always.
One of the most common frustrations participants have with NDIS providers is inconsistency — different support workers turning up each time, nobody really knowing your routine, having to explain yourself over and over again.

At WTC, we work hard to give you consistency. We aim to provide you with the same support worker or a small, familiar team for your regular shifts. Your support workers know your routine, your preferences, and your goals — so every shift feels like continuity, not a fresh start.

When a regular support worker is unavailable, we communicate with you in advance and ensure whoever covers is briefed and prepared.

Consistency Matters

Flexible Support,
Your Way.

Your life does not fit into a rigid timetable, and your support should not either. WTC offers flexible support arrangements including:

  • Regular scheduled shifts
  • Casual and on-call support
  • After hours and weekend support
  • Overnight and sleepover support
  • Short notice support where available
  • Holiday and respite support

We work within your NDIS plan budget and your rostering preferences to build a support schedule that genuinely works for your life — not just what is convenient for us.
Do I need Plan Management in my NDIS plan already?
Yes — Plan Management needs to be included in your plan before we can get started. If it is not currently in your plan, we can help you request it at your next plan review or through a plan variation request to the NDIA.
How quickly are invoices processed?
PlanAbility aims to process and pay invoices quickly and efficiently. Prompt payment keeps your providers happy and your supports uninterrupted.
Can I see what is being paid on my behalf?
Absolutely. Through the PlanAbility portal you have full visibility of every transaction, every invoice, and every budget in real time - You even have the option to approve the invoices manually yourself.
What if a provider sends an incorrect invoice?
We check every invoice before processing it. If something does not look right, we contact your provider directly to resolve it. You will be kept informed if there is an issue that requires your input.
Can I use Plan Management alongside Support Coordination?
Yes, The NDIS is all about choice and control. As long as you know who your provider choices are when deciding your PM and SC. WTC offers both services, making coordination between the two seamless. When your Plan Manager and Support Coordinator work together, your financial management and your support coordination are aligned — making your whole NDIS experience smoother and more effective. WTC offers both services, making coordination between the two seamless.
Can I switch to WTC Plan Management from another provider?
Yes. Switching Plan Managers is straightforward. We handle the transition process and make sure there is no disruption to your provider payments during the changeover.
What happens if I run low on funding before my plan renews?
We monitor your budgets closely and will alert you if your spending is tracking faster than expected. We can also help you request a plan review or unscheduled review if your funding is genuinely insufficient for your needs.
